For more than two years, the Museum has been working on modernizing and enriching its content, striving to follow modern trends and major world museums.

On Monday, December 13, 2021 a new content of the Museum and a new museum exhibition were presented in Jablanica, as well as a long-term strategic plan for the work and development of the Museum. A group of experts worked on the strategic document, presenting four strategic directions of the Museum's development. The whole new museum story is part of the project of cross-border cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro "Amusing Museums - aMUSeumING" funded by the European Union and implemented by the Association for Entrepreneurship and Business LiNK Mostar.
During the two-year implementation of the project activities, the Museum's content was enriched with new furniture, two new exhibitions: "Toward the Modern Society" and "War and Art". The Battle of Neretva gained a new framework and approach by interpreting cultural heritage according to the Interpret Europe methodology. In order to complete the experience, the content also includes VR headset, and with it's use, the visitor becomes Partisan and has the task to shoot down enemy planes, demolish a bridge and transfer the wounded to the other bank of the Neretva.
